We stayed here while my husband was in the area for work. We were here 2 months and it was wonderful. Lots of stuff to do for our 8 year old and so peaceful. I spent many hours sitting on the beach while my son played in the lake. So much for the kids to do on the weekends. We had a spot right next to the bath house and although we didn’t use it very often, it was nice and clean with laundry facilities. The owners were super nice and took care of anything we needed. We paid for the wristband for our son every week and he just enjoyed himself so much. Although one of the more expensive campgrounds(not by too much) we’ve stayed at, it was well worth it. Wish we could have stayed but had to move to the next job. If ever in the area again, we will be sure to stay here again. Thanks for a great experience!
"A big thank you"
Our first time at Oak Lake Campground was last weekend. We are calling today to make another reservation!!!
This is a wonderful FAMILY campground. If you are looking to party all night being loud, cussing and leaving beer cans all over….don’t come here!
The owners are present, making certain everyone is enjoying their stay. They keep the grounds immaculate. Bathrooms/showers are very clean.
The lake has huge water toys for the kids and adults to jump all over on (there is a wristband charge of $15.00 to use water toys, jump shot, pillow trampoline and fun bikes). We couldn’t keep the kids out the lake. There are picnic tables in the shade so you can sit and relax.
There is a walking path that is groomed and is 1.25 miles. Do that a few times and get a great work out.
They have special events on the weekends. We went when they had arts and crafts. We painted rocks and make pine cone bird feeders (there was no charge for arts and crafts). My son took a picture with the owners wife (who for the life of me i cannot remember her name….but know she is from Texas and has Texas Hospitality!)
They have a glow in the dark hay ride Saturday evening. They will take as many trips as needed so every person who wants a ride gets one.
There is a camp store and serve food, snow cones, etc.
A big thank you to the entire Oak Lake staff for wonderful weekend of memories!!!!
"Will be back"
Enjoying the campground will be back next weekend.
Took my three kids and brothers two girls and they had a great time and asking me when we are going back already. There favorite campground now. Staff was nice and very helpful. Already booking father’s day weekend cant wait to come back
This place is wonderful for family fun!! Our family from three different locations has meet up here for the past two Memorial Day weekends and they have many activities that accommodate kids of all ages!!
This is our first year here. Love the site we picked the place is so quiet, clean and relaxing. People are really nice and seem to be allot of dog lovers to. Owners have been really nice and such hard workers.
Great place! The owners have rules that they stick to which makes it nice for everyone. They provide fun activities for everyone and at the end of the day still have patience and time. My grandkids call this an “awesome campground.” And can’t wait to go back each year for our Memorial Day fun.
"Nice and Clean"
Went there this past weekend for a girls weekend. We stayed in the deluxe cabin which was very nice and clean. The staff was wonderful with us all weekend seeing we were in and out quite a bit. Over all it was a great experience and I can’t wait to return again.
"Very nice people"
Very nice people. We were on our way south made reservations for 1 night and got there very late (9pm). Management came to office to check us in and took us to our site in the dark. Would stay here again.
"Very well maintained"
After first buying my camper of course our family bounced around place to place for a couple years. We found a great place about 6 years ago…this place!!! It was a rough summer this year with all the rain we had. I had issues with moving my camper after bringing it home to de-winterize it. They were VERY accommodating with my reservations. It’s a quaint campground that’s very well maintained and cared about by the owners. I’ve read some of the reviews here on F.B. Some I don’t think are quite fair because of all the rain this summer and others I can’t comment on because I’m not a seasonal camper. In regards to the rules, I don’t think they’re that stringent. I guess it all depends on the camping experience you’re looking for. I’ve been to places where golf carts are buzzing around 24-7, kids are shooting off bottle rockets that land on your roof. I’m a smoker…I bring pets…I have kids, I like to have my beers and play music. They just ask for respect of the grounds and your neighbors…to me that’s not so hard to do.
"new favorite campground"
Our new favorite campground!!! The kids are having a blast in the water.

Thank you so much Guys

My family and I would like to take the time to thank you. Our 1st experience with Oak Lake was amazing. Your staff felt more like family. You will be seeing us again before the year is out and I plan on bringing the whole family next time.
